Cheap sensors that will literally be everywhere The network will be just like Hal. It will sense everything and as such will be able to take part in the human process. It will sense human activity and adapt its behavior to suit the needs and preferences of these humans. It will also be aware of higher level purposes (the organizational goals) and use its knowledge of human interactions to guide these in support of these goals.
Nothing will be private from the network which will shape our behavior.
